Position Summary: The Financial Planning Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the company's financial health by analyzing business performance, preparing financial forecasts, and offering insights to guide strategic decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and data analysis to support growth and profitability initiatives.Key Roles / Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual results and forecasts, providing explanations and insights.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Create and maintain financial models to project revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
- Monitor and update forecasts based on changing business conditions.
- Support decision-making by providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Evaluate potential investments, acquisitions, or cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain and improve financial systems, tools, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or related roles.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with QuickBooks and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
