The Division of Accounting, Finance and Operations manages internal auditing and compliance, financial accounting, financial and budgetary reporting, internal controls, payroll, accounts payable, and functional system support and administration of the Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System. Job Summary The Division of Accounting, Finance and Operations is seeking an expert level information technology leader who is financially fluent, detail-oriented and analytical to lead our Functional Systems Support team as a Financial Systems Administrator. This full-time management position reports to the Assistant Director / Controller and leads a team of six. The Financial Systems Administrator provides expert level systems analysis and development, configures applications, troubleshoots complex issues, and documents business processes and system lifecycle activities. This position communicates with business customers to appropriately determine system requirements and needs and involves many complex and significant technical challenges that require innovative and creative solutions. The County is in the process of migrating from Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) to Oracle Fusion Cloud, and this position is a key member of the implementation team to ensure the proper functioning of the County's critical Oracle system, which enables financial, and human resource functions and provides ready access to financial and payroll information.The Financial Systems Administrator provides support to customer departments; consults to identify issues and provides alternatives and suggestions for addressing these needs and issues; writes technical specifications that satisfy requirements of customers' requests; and mentors and educates customers and junior technical analysts to ensure full understanding and capabilities of enterprise-wide systems. They consult with colleagues to develop best practice approaches to address departmental needs and requests; develop, mentor, and coach others; and support the documentation of customer business processes and associated business requirements to fix issues or enhance functionality. This position provides clear and concise communication of IT related issues to management and department staff.The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
