Compensation: $20 an hour Job Description: The Cypress of Hilton Head is currently seeking a hospitality-focused Dining Room Server to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for table service in the facility's Dining Rooms, ensuring each guest is greeted and seated promptly. Your contribution is crucial in ensuring the most efficient operation of dining service at The Cypress Club, offering maximum service to our residents and guests through advance planning, coordination, and cooperation with other departments.Why Work for Us:

Job Responsibilities:
  • Receive meal orders from residents.
  • Serve beverages and meal items to the residents.
  • Set up and reset tables according to standard.
  • Assist in maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Stock juices, condiments, dairy products, and ice creams, and cut lemons as needed.
  • Clean refrigerator and ice cream freezers as scheduled.
  • Ensure products are appropriately protected and stored during closing, including bagging bread and rolls, and covering desserts.
  • Complete designated closing duties and related sanitation requirements.
  • Assist with resident private and social functions and special events.
  • Conform to service procedures as directed in our Standards of Service Manual.
  • Understand the responsibility to report suspected violations of The Cypress Code of Conduct.
  • Take appropriate precautions to avoid job-related injuries and comply with injury reporting guidelines.
  • Actively participate in safety programs and comply with The Cypress Club policies and procedures.
  • Look for ways to continuously improve safety for members, staff, and visitors.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Stock wait station and tables as needed.
  • Clear tables during and after meal service.
  • Assist in plating salads and desserts for dining service.
  • Maintain standards for personal appearance and cleanliness.
  • Follow all kitchen and dining room policies and procedures.
  • Attend mandatory in-services.
  • Assist other personnel with duties when necessary.
  • Assist in to-go delivery service and proper techniques.
  • Promote fine dining skills.
  • Use members' names when serving.
  • Help host when necessary.
  • Proactively recognize potential problems.
  • Work in any section of the Dining Room.
  • Demonstrate training techniques to Level I Servers.
  • Promote friendliness toward members and guests.
  • Expedite in the kitchen if necessary.
  • Communicate with members in problem-solving tasks.
  • Work unsupervised on special functions, including catering functions, bartender, and hostess duties.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Previous experience waiting on tables.
  • Ability to work with older adults is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Primarily works indoors.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for 100% of the workday.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. independently.
  • Must be able to push and pull carts weighing up to 50 lbs. independently.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to see, hear, and speak.
