A Los Angeles based luxury fine jewelry brand is seeking a full-time Production Manager. This person is responsible for leading the production needs of this rapidly growing line. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of production related work in the jewelry industry, be extremely organized and detail-oriented, reliable, and have strong communication and listening skills. She/he will be required to work in a fast-paced environment where a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude will thrive. In this role, he/she is involved in the procurement, receiving, and distribution of all styles of fine jewelry. This new hire will report directly to the owner of the business.
The position will be located in our West Hollywood office and we would like the candidate to start as soon as possible. The position requires being physically in the office full-time.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Sourcing and sorting all diamonds and fine gemstones from external jewelers
· Reviewing quality and cost of all stones before proceeding with purchases
· Extensive familiarity with jewelry sales in order to properly maintain internal stock levels
· Review and approve costing for all production-related matters
· Manage and communicate a detailed production timeline for wholesale and retail teams
· Training production team to properly receive, enter and quality control all inventory
· Overseeing Production team and managing their individual roles and expectations.
· Work directly with the business owner on all custom and one-of-a-kind projects
· Collaborating with business owner and other department leads to improve and add efficiency to all processes
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
· 3+ years minimum previous experience working in production within the jewelry industry
· Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite
· Experience with inventory software a plus
· Excellent communication skills
· Extremely detail oriented and organized
· Candidates with stone sourcing and sorting experience will be prioritized
