Finish Blade Operator

Rummel Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced, Finish Blade Operator. This is a safety sensitive position that is responsible for operating heavy construction equipment with knowledge of hazards, safety precautions, awareness and cut/fill operations for a variety of projects. Performance of routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervision is required daily.

As a Finish Blade Operator with Rummel you'll find yourself operating some of the newest and most well-maintained equipment. Whether you're in a 140m, 150m or 14m, you can be certain that it will be well-maintained, clean, and fueled up ready to go. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

• Understand controls and functions of the blade
• Achieve acceptable rough and finish grade in all types of soils and conditions
• Ability to read and understand stake grades and plans
• Ability to effectively communicate to ground personnel and supervision
• 5 years' experience in the construction industry operating a Finish Blade
• Must have experience in earthmoving and heavy construction with knowledge of cut/fill operations from a variety of projects
• Must be willing to travel
• Experience with Trimble GPS
