Finish Mill Roll Grinder - Steel Dynamics : Job Details

Responsibilities* Responsible for the grinding process and maintaining roll inventory for mill production and strip quality* Provide strong leadership and training to all roll shop personnel* Responsible for accurate documentation and recording of roll data* Responsible for continuous monitoring of the functionality of the grinder and assist in the repair and maintenance on the roll grinder* Conduct roll changes and setup to grinders as needed* Responds and corrects operational and quality concerns as necessary* Assists other roll shop personnel as needed* Operates overhead cranes* Various housekeeping dutiesQualifications* Strong safety awareness* Good communication skills (verbal, written, & electronic)* Self-motivated with the ability to work consistently without direct supervision* Works well with others and independently* Detail oriented* Strong Mechanical aptitude* Willing to work scheduled & unscheduled overtime* Ability to work in an extreme environment* Ability to perform repetitive stretching, reaching, lifting, and walking to support routine responsibilities*Preferred* Roll Shop of Machine Shop Experience
