Responsibilities:

  • Leading, coordinating, and monitoring the work of others who perform the same type of work as this job.
  • Operate casting equipment in a safe manner at all times.
  • Monitor equipment in your area of responsibility for adverse conditions and advise supervision of these conditions.
  • Complete knowledge of finish cell general labor and x-ray jobs.
  • Insures all cells are run at rate.
  • Insures proper training, proper use of PPE and proper safety.
  • Relieves line for breaks.
  • Works hand in hand with cast lead.
  • Participate in regular follow-up training and competency evaluation annually.
  • Follow any other instructions and perform other duties upon request of the supervisor.
  • Participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Team player with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to become certified as an X-Ray Reader (120 hours).

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Works in a fast-paced environment under minimum supervision.
  • Must work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds; standing 70%-80% of the time.
  • Frequent bending, crouching, twisting, and reaching required.
  • No travel required.
  • Exposure to loud noise, heavy lifting, heavy machinery, and sharp tools.

  • Comply with OSHA Safety Standards.
