Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coordinate, and monitor the work of others who perform the same type of work as this job.
  • Train and check the work of others, ensuring supplies and materials are available.
  • Operate casting equipment in a safe manner at all times.
  • Monitor equipment in your area of responsibility for adverse conditions and advise supervision of these conditions.
  • Complete knowledge of finish cell general labor and x-ray jobs.
  • Ensure all cells are run at rate.
  • Provide proper training, proper use of PPE, and ensure safety.
  • Relieve line for breaks.
  • Work hand in hand with cast lead.
  • Participate in regular follow-up training and competency evaluation annually.
  • Follow any other instructions and perform any other duties upon request of the supervisor.
  • Participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:
  • Team player.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to become certified as an X-Ray Reader (120 hours).
  • Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Works in a fast-paced environment under minimum supervision.
  • Routine responsibilities involve the use of various procedures and the application of clearly prescribed standards of practice, requiring the use of good judgment.
  • Must work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, with frequent exposure to loud noise.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing 70%-80% of the time; walking, bending, crouching, twisting, and reaching required.
  • No travel required to fulfill this position.
  • Health, Safety and Environmental:

  • Follow the Health, Safety and Environmental Program as reflected in the Health and Safety Policy Statement as well as the Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS) and the Quality Policy.
  • Comply with OSHA Safety Standards: Hazard Communication; Bloodborne Pathogens; Lockout.
