Essential functions may include, but are not limited to supporting the following:Packer/Material Handling/Core Cutter and Rewinder OperatorInspect general appearance of finished productKeep area supplied with necessary packaging materialsPrepare cores for machine operatorsPerform duties to continuously improve quality and productivityPerform 5S duties and auditsAssist in equipment maintenance activities as directedParticipate in group problem-solving teams and continuous improvement activitiesSort, label, and package finished goods for shipment per customer specifications, quality requirements, and standard practicesInspect general appearance of finished productKeep area supplied with necessary packaging materialsCommunicate and coordinate necessary information to appropriate shift/department personnel to ensure effective operationsTrack multiple orders being packed at one time.Perform duties to continuously improve quality and productivityMaintain a clean, safe work areaPerform 5S duties and auditsAssist in equipment maintenance activities as directedParticipate in group problem-solving teams and continuous improvement activitiesPerform all other duties assigned by SupervisorPrint slitting diagramsCut 3 and 6 Cores for all SlittersRetrieve, Replenish & Deliver CoreCheck Cores for Accuracy, Quality of Cuts & Adequate Quantity for ProductionsDump blue bins at the end of the shift and when necessaryDump recyclables dailyPerform Forklift InspectionTrim Compactor Controls & Operational ProceduresMove material to/from raw, WIP, Finishing, Shipping, Receiving and manufacturing areas.Complete appropriate transactions to document the movement of material within the Inventory Management System.Support inventory accuracy: Complete warehouse and departmental cycle counts and correct discrepancies. Help manage winding drum and rack inventories.Raw/Finishing warehouse: Pick up and transfer material racks, pallets and other consumable supplies to/from production areas, as required.Condense warehouse space and maintain good housekeeping.Perform all assignments, duties and tasks in a safe manner following standard procedures and practices. Encourage others to do so.
