Job DetailsJob LocationLiberty, SCPosition TypePart TimeEducation LevelNoneJob Shift2ndJob CategoryManufacturingDescriptionJOB SUMMARY The Finishing Operator is responsible for the operation of secondary equipment to produce features after casting, such as tapping holes, polishing, plating, buffing, and painting. This position may also perform operations on shot blasting machines.Reports to: Finishing Supervisor KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Removes flash and blemished per control plan using proper tool.
• Handles castings in acceptable manner (bulk vs layer pack).
• Uses gages per supervisor's instruction.
• Meets minimum production requirements.
• Follows visual work instructions and standards as each operation is being performed.
• Must recognize, understand, and make corrections to all the relevant factors and variables which influence the quality of the castings being produced.
• Record clock number on shop card and sign as complete to approve the movement of product to next operation.
• Notifies department lead/supervisor when parts are found to be non-conforming.
• Verifies each process is operating according to the work instructions, visual standards, corresponding documentation and all other information bench requirements.
• Communicate to the next in-coming Trim/Secondary Operator any problems that were encountered, as well as how those issues were resolved.
• Performs housekeeping duties to maintain a state of order and cleanliness.
• Ensures compliance to product routing as found in product specific Flow Diagram and Shop card.
• Use all safety equipment required to operate Trim/Secondary Department Equipment.
