This position may also perform operations on shot blasting machines.Reports to: Finishing Supervisor KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Removes flash and blemished per control plan using proper tool.
- Handles castings in acceptable manner (bulk vs layer pack).
- Uses gages per supervisor's instruction.
- Meets minimum production requirements.
- Follows visual work instructions and standards as each operation is being performed.
- Must recognize, understand, and make corrections to all the relevant factors and variables which influence the quality of the castings being produced.
- Record clock number on shop card and sign as complete to approve the movement of product to next operation.
- Notifies department lead/supervisor when parts are found to be non-conforming.
- Verifies each process is operating according to the work instructions, visual standards, corresponding documentation and all other information bench requirements.
- Communicate to the next in-coming Trim/Secondary Operator any problems that were encountered, as well as how those issues were resolved.
- Performs housekeeping duties to maintain a state of order and cleanliness.
- Ensures compliance to product routing as found in product specific Flow Diagram and Shop card.
- Use all safety equipment required to operate Trim/Secondary Department Equipment.
