Position DetailsStandard Schedule :7:00 am until 3:30 pmMonday - FridayMandatory overtime is dictated by production demands, therefore daily and/or weekly (weekend) overtime is required as neededPosition Overview :The high energyFinishing Production Associat e is an integral part of the finishing process and responsible for providing support to the Finishing Department, ensuring the production and efficiency of the line meets operational standards.One must be self-motivated with astrong attention to detailandenjoy working in a fast-paced ,repetitiveand demanding production environment to ensure the interminable and efficient running of a smooth workflow to minimize downtime for optimum production volume and quality. You will excel if you thrive on rolling up your sleeves and getting the job done.The primary daily duties of this role will include, but not limited to, loading/unloading, monitoring, and maintaining daily working condition of finishing machine which includesthorough, daily, extensive equipment cleaning .Being a team player is essential since all tasks require close collaboration with co-workers to ensure product is finished on schedule and within the quality specifications.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReviews, understands, and follows daily production schedule from Team Lead to optimize order flow for the shiftLearn and gain clear understanding of the finishing department's operationsManually loads/unloads and stores materialChecks product quality as unloading to detect defects or deviations from standards; reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Team LeadAssists with cleaning during system color changeMinimize waste of raw materials as well as working in a clean and tidy mannerPerforms daily cleaning on finishing machine, spray guns, conveyor, and booth areaConducts other routine preventative maintenance on finishing equipment at the established frequency; follows all defined SOP's; drives continuous improvementFollow 6S process: Safety, Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain by participating in daily housekeeping activities indicative of a safe and well organized work environment (i.e. disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling sprayers, vessels, lines, and other equipment used in the process; uses solvents, wire brushes, other cleaning aids, and cloths for daily cleaning duties)Job rotation and relief of other team membersAdheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Company policies, and Safety Guidelines; wears required PPE (safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hearing protection)Performs other related duties as necessary or assignedKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of Finishing ProcessDemonstrated experience to safely perform daily routine equipment cleaningAbility to perform well under pressure while multitasking in a fast paced, but organized manner, with strong attention to detail to ensure task is completed efficiently, to the correct standard, and in the necessary time framePhysical stamina and strength with ability to walk and stand continuously throughout the shiftStrong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work and communicate well with othersRequired to wear Personal Protective EquipmentSafety and OSHA training required (will train)MinimumQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
