The FIPS program lead independently builds, executes and manages the program and project management plans/activities associated with the FIPS program internally and externally.
FIPS Specific
Responsible for the project management activities associated with the FIPS projects like kick offs, recurring project updates, customer meetings, maintaining project status trackers, risk/issue logs, timelines, sign offs, etc.
Work closely with the FIPS team members for the operational activities like project assignments, resource allocation, capacity planning, billability and utilization tracking, facilitation of the team meetings, time off trackers.
Handle the financial forecast of the FIPS projects and contribute towards the activities like budget preparation, monthly revenue forecasting, weekly tracking of the financial forecasts, identify and report risks if any; work closely with the FIPS team members to mitigate financial risks.
Coordinate with the marketing team on the thought leadership activities of FIPS.
Work closely with the Quality teams to ensure that all the processes, documentation, manuals and SOPs are up to date, and support during the audit activities.
Handle the coordination with the FIPS scheme (CMVP and NIST) for ongoing projects, new testing requirements, reporting changes, etc.
Responsible for managing the implementation of large and complex projects.
Provides overall leadership and support to project team members.
Acts as front-line contact on project related activities, issues, and risks.
Manages the project risks and issues and escalates accordingly.
Interfaces with Business Unit Leaders and Finance to develop ROI, IRR and other financial measures.
Manages stakeholders' communication.
Plans the overall project and monitors the progress; performs daily project management throughout the program life cycle.
Adheres to program and project governance (controls).
May have input into defining the project governance (controls).
Manages the projects budget and financial performance.
Coordinates the projects and their interdependencies.
Aligns the deliverables (outputs) to the project's outcome with the aid of the business change manager.

Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, with senior stakeholder reporting and escalation experience.

Understand current and future business goals and ongoing IT issues to ensure business success.
Understanding of software development lifecycles (i.e., Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Iterative).
In depth understanding of project management concepts.
Experience
More than six years of project management experience; relevant FIPS experience preferred.
Experience working on project and portfolio management Tools (Visio, MS Project, Clarity, etc.)
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business or related field PMP, Prince 2 and/or Agile certification (preferred but not required) with related hands-on delivery experience.

Total Rewards: The salary range for this position is $80,000-$115,000 of the salary range and is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position.
All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation.?The target for this position is 10% of the base salary offered.
