Fire Alarm Designer - Pye-Barker Fire & Safety : Job Details

Their responsibilities revolve around performing research and analysis, utilizing feedback from customers and other experts, and coordinating with engineers and technicians. Furthermore, a fire alarm designer may design upgrades and enhancements and create testing structures.Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Follow all OSHA standards and laws.Submit drawings for approval to AHJ.Attend regular development meetingsAddress limitations of technologies and materials involved in the CAD processMake revisions to drawings as requestedKeep up to date on all modern advancement in material and software technologiesPursue ongoing education in the fieldDesign of fire alarm drawings, as-built drawings.Read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.Perform other duties assigned by management.Education/Qualification: Minimum 2-year in related field (preferred)At least 2 years of experience utilizing CAD softwareMinimum 2 years working in a professional environmentStrong organizational skillsExcellent attention to detailAn abundance of patience to see a complicated project to the endAbility to work alone on projectsAbility to work as a team to get complex projects completedValid Driver's LicenseOther Duties:Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.Performs other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
