This is a unique opportunity to join a progressive, high-energy, and results-driven team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and a problem solver with a passion for safety and a solid background in fire alarm systems.Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, inspect, and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and local building codes.
- Perform routine inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
- Identify potential issues or malfunctions and take corrective action as necessary.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of all testing, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Provide training and guidance to other team members on fire alarm system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure fire alarm system requirements are met for new construction or renovation projects.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and service requests.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in fire alarm technology and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
- Proficient in testing, inspecting, and repairing fire alarm systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA standards and local building codes related to fire alarm systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to various job sites.
- Certified Fire Alarm Technician (CFAT) or equivalent certification is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree in a related field is preferred.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, lift heavy objects, and work in a variety of weather conditions.
