PTO 1. 401(k)/Roth Opportunities for advancement Employee Assistance Program Job Summary As a Fire Alarm Technician you must be technically skilled and experienced to assist customers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire, sprinkler, and security alarms. Our service technicians will install and test fire alarms, as well as provide the best customer service to our customers when providing them instructions on the proper usage of our products. Essential Duties Install, program, configure, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, perform diagnostics, and repair of fire alarm, fire suppression, and security alarm systems. Performs basic programming for electronic components of fire alarm systems Assist in testing of fire alarm systems and security alarm systems Responds to electrical service or trouble calls, troubleshoots various problems, provides problem resolution, and is rotated on an on-call schedule. Responds to afterhours calls or emergency calls outside of normal scheduled or business hours. Travel to jobsites of varying terrains and indoor/outdoor environments. Cut and repair varying wall structures for proper placements of alarm systems. Stay up to date on safety codes and regulations, ensuring compliance with national and local standards. Qualifications NICET Cert (preferred) Ability to pass LiveScan background check. Job Requirements Knowledge in security, fire, and sprinkler alarms in residential and commercial buildings Knowledge of electrical equipment, components, instruments, and security and fire alarms including installation, repairs, testing, use, and maintenance. Knowledge of electronic theory, circuits, components, and material properties. Knowledge in machines and tools including their designs, installation, use, repair, and maintenance. Knowledge of safety hazards and necessary safety precautions Valid Drivers License Related Experience 3-5 years of related security and fire alarm experience preferred. Experience preferred, but willing to train Safety/Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75lbs Ability to walk without seating for extended periods.
