Role Overview:

Join our dynamic team as a Fire Incident Responder, where you will play a pivotal role in responding to fire incidents and supporting property owners during their time of need. This role combines emergency response, sales acumen, and relationship management to create revenue opportunities and serve as a champion for our clients.

Responsibilities:

Emergency Response:

  • Listen to scanners and use our specialized app to receive real-time fire alerts.
  • Respond quickly to fire incidents, often requiring availability during off-hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Arrive at fire scenes to offer immediate assistance and consultation to affected property owners.

Client Support:

  • Provide empathetic and professional support to property owners experiencing significant loss.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, guiding clients through the initial stages of recovery.
  • Clearly communicate the suite of emergency and restoration services offered by our firm.

Sales and Business Development:

  • Leverage your sales background to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships within the local community and with referral sources.
  • Actively participate in business development outreach, expanding our commercial client base through networking and community events.

Project Management:

  • Oversee fire restoration projects, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery.
  • Utilize CRM and project management software to track projects and manage client interactions efficiently.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Background in sales, independent adjusting, or fire restoration/mitigation is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of insurance policies and emergency response protocols.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client and industry relationships.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations.
  • Proficiency in CRM and job management software.

  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to handle the exhausting nature of the job.
  • Eagerness to serve as a client's champion during difficult times.

Additional Information:

  • Must be on call 24/7 to respond to emergencies.
  • Regular travel to fire incident sites is required.

QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES

  • Understanding of insurance industry standards, policies, applicable laws, and regulations.
  • Bachelor s degree in business management-related fields or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present technical matters in simple terms for non-technical individuals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Xactimate.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Goal-oriented and comfortable working with metrics.
