Fire Protection Engineer - Insight Global : Job Details

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building design, particularly in office buildings, schools, and hospitals. This role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Fire Protection and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. The candidate must be eligible to obtain a security clearance and possess excellent skills in EXCEL, WORD, PowerPoint, and CAD/BIM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building Design Review: Analyze and review building designs for various structures, including convention centers, schools, libraries, and federal buildings.
• Fire Protection Planning: Determine the placement of fire alarms, protection systems, fire-resistant walls, and other safety measures.
• Project Walkthroughs: Conduct final walkthroughs to ensure all fire protection measures are correctly implemented.
• Documentation Review: Review drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with fire protection standards.
• Travel: Travel up to 15% to various sites to finalize and stamp projects.
