* Licensed Professional Engineer specifically with the Qualified Fire Protection Engineer (QFPE) exam

* 5+ years of experience as a Fire Protection Engineer (FPE)

* Desire to grow or continue growth in a leadership capacity

* Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Revit experience is highly desired

- Federal / Department of Defense (DoD) experience is highly desired

- Full Service A/E firm experience

- Ability to attain Secret Clearance

- Prior experience working as a contractor

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a licensed Fire Protection Engineer. The average day to day is primarily (50-60%) in production utilizing Revit and some CAD. Responsibilities also include mentoring EIT's, administrative management, quality assurance, project meetings and business development. Projects are typically Federal / Department of Defense (DoD) with some public and private work as well. The sizes of the projects are also varied, with small, medium, and large projects all being a part of the portfolio. Initially, business development will be minimal but will grow to 5-10% over time. Travel, up to 25% of the time, includes international and domestic destinations for observations, charettes, and meetings. This role would be joining a team of six in a mid-sized full-service A/E company. It sits hybrid with 3 onsite days in Virginia Beach, VA. With ample potential for growth in this group, we are seeking someone who is interested in dedicating energy into developing as a leader and eventually growing into an official leadership role and capacity.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
