JOIN OUR TEAM: WINDHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT IS HIRING ABOUT US Windham Fire Department is currently seeking two motivated, progressive individuals to join our team. We are a combination career/ paid per call department with 4 shifts of 6, including 5 firefighters and 1 shift Lieutenant. Our firefighters work a 42-hour work week, which consists of 1 shift on, 1 shift off, 1 shift on and 5 days off. Our members belong to the IAFF L- 2915 and will be negotiating a new contract in the coming year. We provide coverage out of one central station operating a front-line engine, ladder, tanker, forestry and two ambulances. All ambulances are outfitted with Life Pack lS's, Zoll Z-series ventilators and nitrous oxide. The department has received a grant for new Scott X3 pro SCBA's and have been awarded a grant to outfit our firefighters with sterling firefighter escape systems. We are a true all hazards department, our members respond to 2000 calls for service annually in a district of 17,000 residents. Windham Fire provides primary advanced life support transporting services with two state of the art ambulances, with one new ambulance currently on order. Windham is 28 square miles of land, 5 miles ofl-93. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 18 years of age or older High school graduate or equivalent Active CPA T certificate or lateral transfer under administrative rule 703.01 NH Firefighter II certified or eligible for reciprocity EMT-Basic (Advanced EMT or Paramedic/Paramedic Student Preferred) CERTIFICATIONS INCENTIVES Earn 0.6% on all base pay, overtime and training time for the following classes: Firefighter II Firefighter Ill Fire Officer I and II Driver operator/Pump operator Fire Inspector I Introduction Technical Rescue Hazardous Materials Technician Confined Space Rescue Technician Rescue Systems DEGREE INCENTIVE Associates in fire prevention/protection and science earn an additional 1 %.
