The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a First Response/Gas Fitter/Plumber to join our Operations team in Eagle Farm, on a Permanent Full-time basis.
Reporting to the Manager Field Services, you will play a key role in providing the safe and timely delivery of field activities in relation to gas escapes, disconnection and reconnection of Domestic and Commercial services, including regulators and metering equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* To work as part of an efficient team under the general direction of a Supervisor or Co-ordinator
* Undertake activities related to supply investigation & rectification
* Respond and Classify gas leaks as per the APA Group Leak Management Plan
* Pinpoint probable sources of gas leaks using equipment provided
* Undertaken activated relating to re-light appliances of end-users
* Maintain constant awareness of personal safety and that of the colleagues and the general public
Your background
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Gas Fitters Qualification with Licence
* C Class driver's license
* Demonstrated experience in gas distribution or field maintenance
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Must be prepared to work on a rotating standby roster
