FISCAL ASSISTANT II - 64081796 - STATE OF FLORIDA : Job Details

The incumbent of this position is responsible for various complex accounting and fiscal functions in the billing department. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: Collect and post client payments, balancing cash drawer daily, research EOB's from insurance carriers, process refunds, corrective actions on misbilled clients, prepare monthly statements for organizations, assist with insurance denials, billing of clinical services to third party payors and clients, assisting with Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women (PEPW) application processing, following up on outstanding accounts receivables, provides back-up assistance to the clinic cashiers as needed, auditing of records billed and payments received as well as researching records to locate revenue that has been potentially lost.
