The Opportunity:
Join our team in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) as a Fiscal Specialist 2! In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and perform the procurement of services, supplies, materials, parts, and equipment in accordance with state laws and university policies. You will maintain inventory and accountability for purchased items or services, ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. As a primary point of contact for other offices and clients on travel and purchasing issues, you will receive purchase requests, make appropriate purchases, receive merchandise, notify customers of order status, log transactions, and reconcile purchasing documents.
Additionally, you will make travel arrangements, communicate with travelers, maintain databases, update department policy and procedure manuals, collaborate with office staff to improve processes, and ensure policy compliance. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, adapting to changing market conditions and customer needs, working with automated procurement and supply management systems, participating in user committees to develop contract specifications or resolve disputes, preparing contract specifications, analyzing bids or proposals, determining awards, and maintaining supply records are also key aspects of this role. Required Qualifications:
* Two years of experience at a level equivalent to Fiscal Specialist 1 AND 15 quarter hours OR 10 semester hours of college level accounting; OR equivalent education/experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.

Monthly Salary: $1,864 - $2,493.50 (Range 43, Steps A - M, prorated to 50% FTE) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
