Job DescriptionFitness Center Managers report to the Associate Director of Campus Recreation and are responsible for the oversite of the Fitness Center Attendants. This position serves as a middle manager to ensure quality of student employment experience and safety of the students in the Fitness Center.Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between fitness center attendants and the Campus Recreation staff
  • Enforce the policies put in place by the campus recreation team that are outlines in the Student Employee Handbook
  • Ensure daily tasks are being completed by personnel by checking the daily task logs and enforcing the hourly counts
  • Improve customer service by providing assistance to students working the front desk
  • Continuously monitor the facility for safety hazards and cleanliness
  • Assist the campus recreation team in creating leadership development opportunities
Managers will work 12 hours per week in the Fitness Center; 6hours will be supervisory/ manager hours and 6 hours will be under regular shifts. Managers are considered to have two jobs on campus both at the fitness center.
