Follow documented procedures, standard work, routings, and blueprints to perform safe and defect free operations. Use of jib or gantry crane to manually position weld equipment. May operate forklift, scissor lift and area lift to access weldments. Identify income material, parts sub-assemblies, weldments. Position and align manually, with jib, gantry or overhead crane, work components to assemble large structure weldments in accordance to detailed drawings using jacks, clamps, jigs, fixtures, templates, and other layout tools such as surface gauges, tram points, calipers, combination sets, wedges, blocks, etc. 5+ years of FCAW multi-pass (10+) welding experience on heavy plate (2+ inches). 3+ years of structural heavy plate / structure fitting experience 035 hard wire experience on 1/4 or thinner material Understanding of quality requirements and ability to execute. Ability to work overtime to support production demands. Ability to use read a tape measure, level, surface gauges, tram points, calipers, combination sets, wedges, blocks This position is located at the Caterpillar manufacturing facility located in South Milwaukee, WI. 2nd or 3rd shift position - Full Time 00 shift premium for 2nd or 3rd Shift No relocation assistance is available.
