Job Description & Skills Ideal candidates will have the following experience that includes multiple types of repairs, maintenance, and remodeling. You must have proficient construction skills, be organized, and professionally communicate with our clients with a positive attitude. The necessary skills include: General Carpentry - Rough and Finish Bathroom Refresh / Remodel Kitchen Refresh / Remodel Painting Interior and Exterior Drywall Repair / Patching / Caulking Minor Plumbing and Minor Electrical Knowledge Flooring Repair and Installation Handyman, General Repairs and Maintenance Work Subcontractor Supervision Customer Service Material Purchasing Your own iPhone or Android with Data Service Able to Download and Use Apps Read and Interpret Construction Drawings Duties, Responsibilities & Requirements Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Finish Carpentry. Experience remodeling Restaurant and Retail spaces is an asset. Must have valid driver's license. The ability to travel frequently and be away from home for multiple weeks at a time. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be detail oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities, and proven leadership skills. The ability to handle multiple projects / tasks. Must be able to work as part of the DAVACO Field Execution team as well as supervise some sub trades. Must be able to plan, execute and close out multiple projects in short periods of time to the satisfaction of the client. Must have a good understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and blueprint reading. Thoroughly understand project floor plans, fixture placement drawings and construction drawings. Communicate potential change orders to Project Manager as soon as they become known. Manage and communicate client concerns, problems, or complaints on assigned projects. Ensure communication of potential survey changes or differences to Project Manager as soon as they become known. Ensure all client portal information, job reports, and documents are submitted correctly and on time. Physical Requirements Please be aware that background reports, driver's license verifications, motor vehicle reports and drug screenings are part of our screening process. You must have satisfactory results. Have the ability to lift and/or pull, push 50 lbs. without assistance. Have the ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time. Stamina to stand, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, climb ladders and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods. Must have color determination. Travel Requirements Must be comfortable sharing a hotel room with a colleague during travel. Must be comfortable sharing a rental car with a colleague during travel. Willingness to travel to various client locations as projects demand, which may require overnight stays and may require travel by airplane.
