Flagger & TCS Skagit & Whatcom County WA Hourly/Non-Exempt FT Position $39,520 - $60,320 Dep On Position, Certification, and Contract What we offer; Flexible scheduling perfect for those with busy families, students, second jobs Choose to be a FT/Mon-Fri scheduled flagger Choose to be an on-call/PT flagger who calls in availability daily PPE and Gear to borrow until you can get your own Paid Next Day Transportation pay for driving over 20 miles away from office and/or transporting gear (no matter the distance) Low Cost Certification Classes (ask us about our in-house certification course)Job Summary: A flagger and TCS ensure a safe and productive control of traffic through road construction and line repair jobs. They are the frontline to keeping the crews, pedestrians, and drivers safe while trying their hardest to not impede anyone in the process. Key Responsibilities: *Using WSDOT/MUTCD standards to set up traffic control devices on the road *Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, and controlling traffic in a safe and efficient manner *Maintains a professional mannerism at all times while communicating with the drivers, crews, and their flagging partner(s) *Work in ALL weather conditions with no issues and no leaving sites early *Work with the crews to manage and set up their work site quickly and efficiently and be ready to make last minute changes as needed *Stand in one place for the whole shift (sometimes up to 14 hours)Additional Responsibilities: *Positive attitudes *Strong work ethic *Attention to attendance and reliability *Leadership qualities that make you easy to work with *Reliable transportationMinimum Requirements: Flaggers CertificationTo apply for this position, click the link below or contact the local office at (360) ###-####
