Responsibilities
- Safe and Efficient Operation: Operate commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, flat-beds, and lugger trucks) in compliance with traffic laws.
- Loading and Unloading: Secure scrap metal materials onto trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe transportation.
- Route Planning: Follow designated delivery routes efficiently.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct inspections and report issues promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE.
- Documentation: Complete delivery logs, bills of lading, and other necessary paperwork.
- Customer Interaction: Maintain professionalism during pickups and deliveries.
- Environmental Responsibility: Handle materials responsibly, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- Communication: Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Class A) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial driving experience.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials and strap own load.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Work Schedule
- Five days a week, day shift, Monday through Friday. Weekends off for a work-life balance.

Additional Information
- Flat-Bed Position: For our Transload division, primarily delivering good products to customers. Experience with flat-bed loads and overhangs up to 25' is preferred.
- Safety Requirement: Clean shaven for respirator use (MSHA training provided).
- Load Securing: Drivers must secure their own loads and be physically able to climb in and out of trucks, throw chains, and tie down straps.
- Hourly Rate: Starting at $26/hour, Monday through Friday, day shift.
- Transmission: Most trucks are manual, so no automatic transmission restrictions.
- Screening: Background check, drug/alcohol screen, FMCSA clearinghouse, and clean MVR required. No DUIs allowed.
