Overview:

Our Auto Transport team is seeking a Product Support Specialist to join our sales team. This position acts as a liaison between customers, the sales team, and OEMs. This individual will also manage trucks and trailers in inventory, and arrange for reconditioning and repairs.

The Product Support Specialist is a key part in delivering on our customer commitment to be our customers Best Business Partner. This person must have excellent communication skills and be detail oriented.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the main liaison between customers and TEC to gather information, troubleshoot, and coordinate resolution of issues that are outside of standard warranty guidelines.
  • Build an effective partnership and maintain communication with truck and trailer OEM contacts.
  • Proactively follow up with identified customers for equipment delivery, enrolling fleets in OEM systems and breakdown support.
  • Manage, maintain, and organize all new and used truck and trailer inventory on site.
  • Set-up customers in OEM portals and systems (Volvo Dealer Portal, Volvo Action Service, ASIST, E-Driver Training, E-Technician Training, Volvo Premium Tech Tool, Remote Diagnostics, etc.).
  • Coordinate training programs including technician training classes (online and onsite) for customers with TECs technical trainers and OEMs.
  • Assist AT Team Members in evaluating used equipment to make appropriate decisions in regards to the appropriate repair and/or reconditioning process
  • Secure repair/reconditioning estimates from internal & external shops & service providers. Manage repair/reconditioning plan with AT Team Members once estimates have been evaluated.
  • Ensure all inventory and yard truck are maintained in functional working order (start trucks as needed, arrange inventory, coordinate detailing, etc.)
  • Overnight travel to customer locations (approx. 10-15% of the time). Attend trade shows and various events as required.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree, trade school degree, or equivalent experience in the Trucking/Auto Transport/Automotive industry preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in trucking industry; and/or related service/parts industry preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Understanding of the technical aspects of trucks and trailers.
  • Excellent oral and written business communication skills across various platforms.
  • Friendly demeanor with the ability to provide superior customer service.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office and computer programs.
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, and able to follow multiple processes through to completion.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Commercial Drivers License required. TEC will cover training and licensing expenses if needed.
