Riverside Therapy Group is hiring a fulltime Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a PTA within Riverside Senior Living Communities, you get the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients including those receiving short term skilled rehab after a hospitalization, as well as assisted living, independent living and nursing home residents. PTA has the ability to treat residents within their homes on campus and utilize equipment and modalities within our therapy clinics. Physical Therapist Assistant carries out an individualized program for patients with acute and chronic health conditions to maximize their quality of life and achieve their functional goals. The Therapist is supervised by Therapy Director and maintains a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff. Although this role is required to float to sister facilities as needed to provide patient care, we offer flexible scheduling to accommodate team member needs. What you will do

• Follows the plan of care and performs PTA procedures as allowed by referral to aid in restoring function, improving mobility, relieving pain, and preventing or limiting permanent physical disabilities. Perform services planned, delegated and supervised by the Therapist.
• Assesses patients' needs and status by analyzing evaluated data and interprets information, identifying age-specific needs and proving care accordingly.
• Assists and participates in the training and support of all team members, volunteers and students.
• Records patients' progress and reports the results of each treatment to the physical therapist.
• Treats patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions.
• Provides patient education on interventions.

• Associates Degree, Physical Therapy Assistant (Required)

• Less than 1 year Healthcare experience (Preferred)

• License Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) (Required) and
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
