The Floating Certified Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care across multiple ProHealth locations. This dynamic position involves assisting healthcare providers with various clinical tasks, performing patient assessments, and ensuring the seamless operation of clinics. You will be integral in maintaining efficient patient flow while demonstrating exemplary customer service and compassion. You will also be the primary contact for after-hours and weekend collections. Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for conducting various occupational tests such breathe alcohol, respirator fit tests and other testing as necessary.
- Responsible for collecting specimens for drug screens through random testing and post-accident testing. This includes hair and urine samples.
- Responsible for attending to after hours, late night, holiday and weekend calls.
- Completes necessary paperwork with accuracy.
- Scans and maintains patient information pursuant to company policy and procedures.
- Ensures he/she has all necessary supplies for testing.
- Responsible for assisting at clinic and lab locations.
- Responsible for using office equipment and computer programs proficiently, ensuring all information is current and correct and informing managers of any issues.
- Administrative duties such as: filing, greeting patients, and scanning.
- All other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:This full-time position requires flexible hours as the floating MA will work across multiple clinic locations, including Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, Fort Walton Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, Crestview and Milton. You may work Monday through Friday including Saturdays and after-hours, depending on patient requirements and clinic timetables. You will travel up to 90% of the time. RequirementsEducation and Certification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT (CMA) certification required.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of clinical procedures and patient care protocols.
- 1 year of experience in occupational testing.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to adapt to different clinic environments and work schedules.
- Active problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
- Standing, walking, and sitting are required for varying lengths of time throughout the workday.
