Floor Inspector - Therm Incorporated : Job Details

Therm, Incorporated, a leader in providing innovative machining solutions to a global market, is currently seeking a qualified individual for a position in our Quality Assurance Department for Floor Inspector.-First Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm)-Overtime assigned as needed or as business necessitates.-Full Time-Starting wage dependent upon experience.POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for the in-process auditing/inspection of parts during processing on the manufacturing floor using a variety of inspection tools to assure conformance with prescribed specifications in blueprints, operation sheets, process sheets, layouts, work orders, charts and/or written and verbal instructions.POSITION DUTIES, REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Experience in a machine shop environment is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided. *Reject parts not meeting specifications. Must initiate, investigate and write deviation reports as needed for non-conforming parts or processes. Work directly with Manufacturing and Engineering personnel to discuss, review and resolve operation and process sheet discrepancies. Documentation and reporting of final inspection findings and/or results. Become familiar with Special Processes , i.e. Weld, Heat Treat, Shot Peen, Polish etc. Assist in gauge R & R studies. Ability to setup and use comparator charts for part and setup verification. Ability to learn and be able to understand and use a variety measuring and testing tools. At all times, work to Therm, Incorporated Code of Ethics, Safety Standards and Quality Policies while performing operational functions. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Being a team player is essential. Good communication skills a must. Must pass a physical examination including drug testing. Must pass eye examination and have vision adjusted to 20/20.
