Summary:A Floral Clerk is first and foremost responsible for guest relations and satisfaction by building a reputation for Ultimate Service. He/She will perform all floral duties, including process of orders and floral design. Execute floral procedures as outlined by company and Floral Manager. Key Responsibilities:
- When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest
- Differentiate in products and service by producing quality products
- Follow daily work schedule as assigned by management
- Utilize floral systems and processes consistently and correctly
- Practice safe work habits; maintain a high level of store cleanliness, organization, and a safe work environment
- Ensure quality and consistent product availability and solutions to our guests
- Follow attendance tardiness guidelines in accordance with team member handbook
- Perform floral duties in accordance with company guidelines
- Assist in watering and department maintenance as needed
- Performs other duties as requested or required by upper management
Key Requirements:
- Working knowledge of plants and flowers
- Ability to work in varied temperatures
- Ability to work in fast-paced, but efficient and controlled manner
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the floral duties including but not limited to standing, bending, lifting, and walking
- Ability to read, write and complete company forms for sales reporting
- Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
- Ability to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs. and push and pull up to 100 lbs.
- Be able to perform all other physical aspects of the position including but not limited to bending, squatting, standing, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, and walking
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays
- Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
