Job Description The Fluid Power Technician is responsible for the assembly, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems according to customer specifications and engineering designs. This role requires expertise in schematic interpretation, piping, hose assembly, and fitting identification, as well as ensuring adherence to ISO/Quality Standards. The successful candidate will work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines while maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Pay Rate-$17.17- $28.62 Key Responsibilities: Assemble fluid power equipment and systems according to approved designs, blueprints, and customer specifications. Install piping, hoses, and fittings while ensuring correct fitment, orientation, and quality standards. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, resolving problems efficiently to minimize system downtime. Conduct regular system diagnostics and perform preventive maintenance to ensure operational reliability. Quality & Safety Compliance: Maintain and execute tasks in compliance with ISO standards and company quality assurance policies. Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members. Travel Requirements: Travel as required (up to 20% of the time), including domestic and international travel, to support project execution, installations, or client needs. Work Experience Qualifications: Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience in fluid power systems (hydraulic and pneumatic). High School diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical education in fluid power systems or a related field preferred. Proven ability to work with mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, pipe threading, and fitting identification. Intermediate ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and fluid power system schematics. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. Preferred: Certifications: Journeyman's card (or equivalent technical certification) preferred. Hi-Lo (Forklift), Aerial Platform, and Overhead Crane certifications (or the ability to obtain within employment). Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certification or training. Skills: Basic computer skills for documenting tasks and using diagnostic tools. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex fluid power systems. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a collaborative team. Excellent communication skills for effective reporting and team interaction. Additional Requirements: Must have own hand tools and a toolbox suitable for the job (a list of recommended tools will be provided).
