FN Cafeteria Aide, Full Time, Days - Huntsville Hospital Health System : Job Details

Overview:

Job Summary: The Cafeteria Aide provides employees and visitors the opportunity to purchase foods for personal consumption. This position serves in the cafeteria to serve hot and cold meals and will also work on the hot grill bar as needed. It is expected that sanitation will be maintained at all times and will follow the direction of the Assistant Manager, Kitchen Manager and/or Director of Food and Nutrition. Also helps with other various duties as assigned; sweeping, mopping, stocking, etc.

Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions

Follows directions and performs work according to departmental standards.

Demonstrates a friendly and courteous attitude at all time when serving our visitors, physicians and employees.

Properly stocks counters, food line with hot and cold foods.

Accurately operates a cash register as needed.

Demonstrates proper portion control when preparing and serving food.

Demonstrates the ability to maintain a clean and sanitary environment while performing their job.

Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required: Reading, writing and communicable skills are a must.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessary.

Experience: Some food service helpful.
