Job Description :
The Office of the City Clerk is seeking an individual to review and process all FOIA requests received as governed by the FOIA statues and the City of Springfield policy. Ensure all requests are completed in a timely manner and distributed to the appropriate party. Review and evaluate responses to ensure compliance with all laws of the State of Illinois. Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, filing documents, typing correspondence. Answer inquiries regarding FOIA requests, licensing, permitting, procedures and/or regulations. Assist the Division Manager with maintaining and administering the records warehouse system. This position requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to a high school diploma; associates degree or higher is preferred; three years of clerical experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
