Food and Beverage Distribution Center Branch Manager Dayton, NJ100K-120K Plus A Bonus And Benefits. Foodservice wholesaler that operates 149 warehouses across the country. It has operated for over 40 years with the goal of providing Savings, Selection & Service. While our company is primarily a cash & carry business.SUMMARY:The Branch Manager of a Distribution Center is the site leader, overseeing all associates, day-to-day operations, and the full site P&L. Our wholesale distribution centers are typically high-volume multi-temperature zone food grade facilities. The role requires a combination of frontline hands-on leadership as well as the ability to step back and ensure proper processes and technology are in place to drive consistent and efficient results. Recruiting, training, accountability and development of staff are critical to success. The ideal candidate has demonstrated success in creating a culture of safety, efficiency, on time/in-full delivery and continuous improvement within their scope of responsibility.As a Branch Manager in Training, you will embark on a development journey, working closely with a current Branch Manager to learn our business model. This mentorship program will equip you with the necessary knowledge and experience to excel as a Distribution Center Branch Manager.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:The following responsibilities will be expected and expanded as you grow within the organization:Direct responsibility for P&L results and KPIsSuccessfully recruit team members to maintain staffing levels based on labor planning modelExecute effective training and development programs to retain and grow talentMaintain a safe work environmentRegularly engage front line associates to ensure a full understanding of existing opportunities and cultivate a culture of continuous improvementEnsure operational processes are efficient and regularly audited to validate consistent executionAddress technical system challenges by identifying root causes and implementing effective resolutionsMonitor DC objectives and lead targeted improvement initiatives to delivery enhanced resultsScrutinize weekly labor plan and detailed metrics to hold team accountable for performanceRelentlessly pursue on-time/in-full delivery to exceed expectationsMaximize outbound truck weights, enhancing transportation efficiency.Maintain best in class inventory accuracy and minimize shrinkREQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field is required.Minimum 3 years' experience in directly managing a company owned distribution center.Proven success in:Leading and developing high performing teams.Establishing efficient processes to deliver best in class business results.Creating a culture of continuous improvement.Prior experience with food distribution is preferred.
