Check out this video for more information on our great company! Location Description Manor Vail Lodge is one of Vail's original and iconic properties. With studio, one, two and three-bedroom condominiums plus luxury penthouses, Manor Vail Lodge is a full-service condominium property that features all the amenities of a full-service hotel, including two outdoor heated swimming pools, four hot tubs, spa, fitness center, The Fitz Bar and new restaurant, Ridge + River. Located steps from Vail Village, Golden Peak ski area, Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, and the Ford Amphitheater, Manor Vail Lodge is the complete package for Vail lodging. Overview The F&B Manager is responsible for the coordination and execution of food service for all Outlets while supporting the Banquet business as needed. Earns between $64,000-$67,000/year based on experience plus up to a 10% incentive based on goals. We anticipate the position to be filled by 9/30/2024. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist in maintaining a consistently smooth-running operation in all F&B outlets. Ensure a consistent, seamless and luxurious guest dining experience. Work with the F&B Director and team to ensure all policies and procedures are being followed correctly. Is responsible for inventories, purchasing, budgeting, and scheduling. Ensure physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the outlets including inspecting tabletops, and side-stations. Ensure all functions of the P.O.S. system is up to date with current menu items and is running in accordance with specifications. Welcome guests to the restaurant in a professional manner and interacts with guests to take food and drink orders. Communicate effectively with the Chef, kitchen and stewarding staff. Ensure prompt delivery of food to the guest's table. Has knowledge of liquor, beer, and wine. Suggests pairings of food to wine or beer. Has an extensive knowledge of the restaurant menu and maintains the ability to describe both the ingredients and preparation of each dish. Maintain a daily log of important information to share with the department. Provide employees with the information needed to perform their job effectively. Orient employees to the department and resort and provides on-the-job training on job responsibilities. Prioritize and assign work as needed. Ensure that each check is accurate and proper payment is received. Maintain house bank and handles all cash according to Resort policies and procedures. Maintain an up to date working knowledge of all amenities available at the Lodge as well as any special events. Manage the restaurant reservations in Open Table. Expedite on floor or in Kitchen as business demands. Interact with staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information. Is knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and Lodge policies. Solicit guest feedback via guest comment cards and acknowledge guest preferences for future visits. Address all guest feedback with the utmost confidence, grace and concern for their satisfaction. Uphold all safety standards of Manor Vail Lodge and Pyramid Global Hospitality. Is a team player and interacts with all guests and fellow Associates in a positive and friendly manner. Qualifications The Food and Beverage Manager will report to the F&B Director. Successful individuals must be available to work flexible schedules and have proven track records as effective trainers, coaches and motivators. - Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to lead, direct and motivate supervisors and associates. Must be experienced with cost controls, financial controls, profit and loss statements, etc. - Direct and participate in the functions of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation. - Implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs among all departments. - Maintain high standards of food & beverage quality, service & marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service. - Regularly review and evaluate the degree of customer satisfaction of the Food & Beverage operations. - Assist in the recruiting of high quality personnel and manage the development, motivation and retention of staff. - Conduct and execute all company and F&B Director directed projects. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE 4 Year college degree required. Hospitality experience required preferably in Food in Beverage. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $64,000.00/Yr. - $67,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
