- High School diploma or GED certificate or have sufficient ability to follow written instructions, schedules, interpret recipes and do the arithmetic necessary to adjust quantities
- Willingness to participate in Food and Nutrition Service training
- Ability and initiative to plan, organize and carry out assignments with minimum of supervision
- Ability to work harmoniously with staff and students
- Physical stamina and emotional stability to work effectively
- Excellent physical and mental health
- Neat, well groomed appearance

Prepares meats, vegetables, salads, dressings, breads, and/or desserts as directedServes on serving line(s)Assists in storing groceries, meats, and suppliesCleans cooking equipment and kitchen, serving and dining areas as directedAssists with maintaining proper sanitationAttends workshops as scheduledPerforms related duties as required
