Job DescriptionThe Food Bank Coordinator fosters partnerships and collaborations that support the agency's mission to nourish minds and bodies, empowering families and communities. The position's primary function is to reach out to sources for donated food within the community and build relationships.Duties and Responsibilities:• Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with Mercer Street Friends' Agency Network.• Coordinate with various departments to align efforts and maximize the impact of food programs.• Collaborate communication with the agency network to keep them informed and engaged.• Participate and contribute to events and campaigns to raise awareness and funds.• Monitor the Mercer Street Friends' Agency Network for compliance.• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and external regulations.• Collaborate with the Retail Rescue Coordinator to optimize the agency's food throughput.• Remain abreast of and apply the best food distribution and network management practices.Skills & Abilities:• Inspiring and guiding Mercer Street Friends' agency network towards achieving Mercer Street Food's mission.• Conveying information and listening effectively to needs.• Addressing challenges creatively and efficiently.• Being flexible and responsive to changes within the food network environment.• Ensuring a positive experience for partners and community outreach.• Build strong relationships, execute programs effectively, and adapt to needed changes.• Excellent written and oral communication skills• Experience with Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel.• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of individuals.• Client service and relationship management.• Passion for addressing food insecurity and hunger issues.• Perform all other duties as assigned.Requirements• College Degree Preferred• At least two years of experience in nonprofit management or a related field.• Experience in relationship management or a similar role within a non-profit organization.• Valid driver's license• Reliable transportation
