SUMMARY
Coordinates communication between servers and kitchen to ensure proper timing in service. Brings meals to servers or serves meals to patrons. Also does specific side duties as assigned by his or her supervisor. Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc.'s Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
OUTCOME
The food runner will enhance the guest's experience by insuring that their needs are served in timely manner. The runner will enable the servers to focus on other guest needs and will assist kitchen employees by preventing the food line from becoming overloaded or backed up.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have and maintain a current Food Handlers Card.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The pace is generally moderate and may be quite fast.

Employees in this position interact daily with managers, supervisors, service and kitchen personnel, and customers. Employees may also interact regularly with other department personnel.
SCHEDULING
This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts will generally be rotated as much as possible to be fair to everyone. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed shift if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the number of hours that you work.
