Position Summary: The Safety & Security Compliance Specialist is responsible for the safety & security program at Fair Oaks Farms; including but not limited to training, audits, security systems & compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develops, implements, directs, and maintains the campus-wide safety food safety and quality programs, including food service and manufacturing.
* Proactively leads team in developing systems, knowledge, capabilities, and practices to comply with all applicable food safety regulations and company procedures and for process/systems/regulatory audits (such as customer, GSFI, Regulatory, and certifier).
* Conducts food safety inspections and internal audits to ensure compliance with standards. Maintains inspection records.
* Acts as an internal consultant to entity managers and trainers on food safety programs within their areas of responsibility. Ensures managers understand and follow food safety programs outlined in the food safety plan. Leads the development of orientation programs and annual training of personnel with respect to GFSI, GMP, HACCP, and PCQI requirements.
* Collaborate with members of the management team to ensure that food safety and quality training is developed and delivered
* Responsible for upkeep of entity Food Safety Plan.
* Organizes SERV Safe trainings.
* Audits food safety and quality systems, manufacturing processes, and finished products.
* Support plant audits/inspections as needed by Government agencies, Customers, and/ or Third-Party groups
* Determines what policies are needed and identifies training needs.
* Solicits input from entity managers and employees.
* Alerts entity managers if their area of responsibility is not compliant with inspections.
* Alerts HR and Director of Facilities if area remains non-compliant.
* Works with entity managers to implement root cause analysis and corrective and preventative measures to resolve problems.
* Works with the leadership team to develop and implement a culture of food safety and quality across the organization
* Other duties as assigned
Skill Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of practices involving food safety and HACCP principles
* Strong organizational skills.
* Ability of persuasion to lead through influence to obtain compliance and cooperation from a wide variety of various employees.
* Ability to analyze and evaluate people and programs.
* Maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the company.
* Meet physical demands of position such as walking, standing, bending, and squatting.
* Must possess strong training techniques.
* Strong understanding of risk management.
* Effective oral and written communication skills.
* Presentation skills.
Experience and Education Requirements:
* Associate or bachelor's degree in food science or related field preferred.
* HACCP certification, SQF practitioner and PCQI certification preferred
* 3-5 years equivalent combination of training, education, and/or experience that would provide required knowledge and abilities to perform duties.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
