Job DescriptionOur client, a leading nutraceutical company, is currently seeking an accomplished Food Scientist to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:1) Apply scientific principles in research, development, production, technology, quality control, packaging and processing of nutritionally designed foods and dietary supplements2) Conduct basic nutrition research for the development of programs to support product utilization3) Conduct bench top product development of nutritional food supplements, taking product from original concept to completion of manufacturing process4) Research and develop nutrition and product parameters for unique applications in new market places5) Research methods to support development of new product and program concepts6) Evaluate raw materials and finished product contract manufacturers for product quality and process feasibility7) Provide evaluation and recommendations for product improvements by addressing flavour, texture, nutritional value, convenience, composition and cost8) Recommend specific ingredients, processes and packaging materials9) Provide technical support to the current customer base10) Perform other duties as assignedCritical Requirements1) A university degree is required.
