Food Service Director - Franciscan Ministries : Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic Food Service Director to oversee the overall dining experience for our residents. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the Dining Services Department to ensure exceptional service.

• Department Management: Plan, develop, and manage the Dining Services Department, including policies, procedures, and staff evaluations.
• Coordination: Collaborate with other departments to coordinate dining services for special activities and events.
• Staff Support: Provide support for dining services staff and perform administrative duties.
• Reporting and Budgeting: Make reports and recommendations to the Executive Director and develop and adhere to budgets.
• Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect department areas and handle emergency situations as needed.
• Staff Education and Management: Schedule in-service education for staff, hire appropriate staff, and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Culinary degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of management experience in a dining environment preferred
• Manager Food Safety License
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
