Job Position: Food Service Lead Part Time for Lancaster Career and Technical Center

Location: Ephrata, PA 17522

Pay Rate: $17.75 Per Hour

Shift: Monday through Friday 7:30AM to 2:00 PM

Description The primary role of a Food Service Lead Aide is to assist in the kitchen in all facets of daily food preparation, serving and clean-up. This can vary between Head Cooks, schools and districts. Food handling safety and personal safety are critical in the roll of the Food Service Lead Aide position. This individual will step up in the absence of the manager. Other duties include:

Direct and coordinate other food service employees to complete required everyday activities. Keep other food service employees informed about changes to everyday activities and tasks. Oversee food preparation, ensure proper quantity and quality of food prepared. Communicate important and relevant information to the Kitchen Manager and the Food Service Manager. Advise the Kitchen Manager, the Food Service Manager, and the Director of Food Service of any Food Service staff performance issues. Prepares fruits and/or vegetables for daily use, including but not limited to: washing, slicing, cupping and otherwise preparing according to kitchen standards. Assists in the preparation of any menu items as directed by the site supervisor.Serves meals on line during lunch shifts as directed by Site-Supervisor. Record and cashier student meals or a la carte items as needed. Complete preparation information on daily Production Record.Assists in removing trash.
