Position SummaryAs a Food Service Leader 2, you will be responsible for training, leading and directing offenders in the distribution and service of food and the performance of related sanitation activities within the Food Service areas.Salary InformationThe starting pay is $21.53 per hour, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required.Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is classified as a Corrections Food Service Leader 2 and is in pay schedule and range 03/12.Job DetailsAll applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by WRC or medical personnel approved by the facility within 30 days of the start date.This position has physical requirements which may include but are not limited to lifting up to 50 lbs., pushing and pulling loaded food carts, bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, stooping, standing, sitting and working on feet for extended periods of time.
