Job Responsibilities Manages all tactical, day to day operations for the Culinary Institute of Charleston (CIC) storeroom; performs a variety of functions to include planning, facilities maintenance, scheduling, food preparation, inventory, receiving, issuing, cleaning and service. Minimum and Additional RequirementsThis position requires a high school diploma and supervisory experience in quantity and quality cooking. Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate will have an associate degree and have experience in supervision, purchasing, and inventory management within large educational food service operations. Preferred qualifications include supervisory experience in quantity and quality cooking, food service operations, and culinary practices, along with budget oversight and cost control for food purchasing. Candidate will have working knowledge in food inventory channels and vendors, as well as possess strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. The position requires independent work and regular communication with supervisors, chef instructors, and team members. The candidate must have the ability to lift 50 to 60 pounds regularly.
