ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISION: FOOD AND NUTRITION SERVICESJOB TITLE: FOOD SERVER LEVEL IV-AREPORTS TO: FOOD AND NUTRITION SERVICE MANAGER/BUILDING PRINCIPALSUPERVISES: Leads 4-8 EMPLOYEESTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:9 Month CalendarHourly and work year to be determined by the 501 Board of EducationWorks 7-8 hours per day in a Middle or High School KitchenMust attend and successfully complete Food Safety Basics class within the first six months of employment, and once every 5 yearsAssistant Managers are strongly encouraged to join SNA and SHAW-Wa, professional organizations for school food service staff, and attend elective continuing education classesQUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or GED is requiredMust possess proficient computer skills and be able to use typical office softwareMore advanced math skills, including multiplication and divisionAbility to read, instruct, and write the English languageThorough knowledge of food safety basicsAdvanced skill in food preparation and cookingAbility to lift 50 pounds occasionallyAbility to stand up to 7.5 hoursComplete understanding of portion sizesExceptional interpersonal and communicative skillsAbility to effectively train othersAbility to work well with othersPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists Kitchen Manager in all management operations, including cooking, prepping, cleaning, record keeping, training, creating work schedules, employee performance evaluations, and filling in for vacant positions. May assist in the effective overall operations of the Food and Nutrition Services Program at different kitchen locations as needed.Assist staff in the preparation of food items and food cartsAssist with training employeesExtensive knowledge in HACCP proceduresOperate Fast-Lane Software, complete satellite reports, make depositsThorough understanding of meal benefit applications and ability to maintain state recordsEnsure all temperatures are taken and documented properlyAssist with questions, documentation, or reviews conducted by state, federal, or private agencyMay plan staff meeting and attend the District's Manager meetings as assignedBuild and maintain positive relationships with school personnel, administration, and outside agenciesAll other duties as assigned
