Food Service Worker - King's Daughters Medical Center : Job Details

Prepare foods and/or serve food and beverages to patients and customers. Assist in cleaning work areas, equipment, and utensils and collection of garbage. Perform cashier duties. DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties: Assembles and delivers food trays to medical center patients and meals on wheels clients. Serves food to cafeteria customers and patients. Prepares food according to written instructions. Processes menus and diet orders. Reads and interprets production orders, recipes and written directions to prepare food. Selects and manipulates dishes and utensils to portion menu items. Portions and measures menu items accordingly to production schedule or menu stated amounts. Arranges items on trays quickly, accurately and neatly according to customer request. Prepares food items such as entrees, vegetables, sandwiches, salads, soups and beverages. Places servings in blender to make foods for soft or liquid diets.
