Job Description :
The food service position functions under the supervision of and in coordination with the Kitchen Manager. This position is required to provide outstanding guest service, take orders and serve menu items in a fast-paced environment, and maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Takes guest orders and moves with a sense of urgency to quickly serve food items as ordered.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality and production standards on all menu items. Food must be fresh and of high quality when served to the guests.
  • Prepares, washes, and cuts food to be cooked.
  • Ensures portion control and maintains appropriate serving temperatures of all products served.
  • Maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils.
  • Responsible for cleaning, stocking, and restocking of workstations.
  • Operates POS system accurately and efficiently; ensuring all food or drink items ordered are rung in and properly accounted for.
  • Practices proper cash handling procedures through payment collection in POS system, properly organizing money, counting change correctly and following appropriate checkout procedures.
  • Completes all opening, running and closing duties as assigned.
  • Stays up to date on upcoming shows or events to answer guest questions.
  • Maintains guest satisfaction by answering questions thoroughly, handling complaints or directing them to a manager, and providing information about the venue.
  • Adheres to all relevant health department rules and regulations.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures as established in the Employee Policy Manual.
  • The above-listed duties are not all inclusive. This position is expected to perform other work-related duties as assigned even though they may not be considered primary duties. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Experience Required:
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, preferred
    • At least one to three years of related experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment preferred
    • Must pass a criminal background check
    Skills and Knowledge Required
  • Strong knowledge of food-handling safety.
  • Basic understanding of or ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations of workplace safety.
  • Basic understanding of or ability to learn food preparation, and cooking procedures.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain personal cleanliness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving guests.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Ability to listen to and understand guest, manager or staff requests.
  • Ability to remain calm when under pressure.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Reliable, responsible, and dependable.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high energy, and physically demanding environment.
    • Must be able to stand, walk, reach and prepare food for prolonged periods.
    • Must be able to push, pull and lift objects from a lower to higher position or move objects horizontally, from position to position.
    • Must be able to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing or crouching in narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
    • Must be able to carry loads greater than 35 pounds and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
    • Will be required to use physical capabilities including climbing and ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
    • Able to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
    • Able to work in environment with moderate to high noise levels.
    • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
    • Able to work varied shifts, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
