Job Description:Food Service WorkerFull- TimeJob Description:Food Service Workers plays a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive appropriate and nutritious meals. In addition, a food service worker in a hospital setting contributes to the overall well-being of patients by preparing and delivering nutritious meals, adhering to dietary restrictions, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. This position performs a variety of cleaning tasks:
- Maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in all Food service area.
- Serve, and/or operate cash register in cafeteria.
- May include dishwashing, pot washing, general sanitation, cleaning, and use of kitchen equipment.
- May assist in the service and storage of food.
- This position performs general duties in the cafeteria area as required to insure high quality customer service. They have direct contact with both employees and visitors.
- Assists in providing quality food and an enjoyable dining experience for patients, guests, and staff.
Essential Qualifications:- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; or 1 - 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Food Handler's Permit required by Madison County.
